My first Paph!
I can't believe my luck! Paphs are so hard to come by in South Florida! I found one at Lowe's of all places, fresh off the truck
Here are a couple pics: http://i1120.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSCN1168.jpg http://i1120.photobucket.com/albums/...s/DSCN1171.jpg |
It looks beautiful !!! Great find. I need some more Paphs and Phrags.

It was said for years that you couldn't grow Paphs in Florida. That myth has been totally debunked. Are they happy with our summer inferno, no but they adjust and perform beautifully. Enjoy your new plant!

what a cutie! great find!

I have her growing inside. Do you guys think she'll be OK outside with my phals (no direct sun of course)? idk, I feel like plants growing indoors are fish out of water and don't grow to their fullest potential.

It would probably do fine outside. It is used to greenhouse light anyway. It is a beauty, congrats!

Wow, that was a lucky find...my Lowe's doesn't ever have anything but nasty phals and dehydrated catt bag babies.

@Zoi2: that's what my Lowe's is like too! I told my aunt about it and when she went to get one the very next day, they were all gone! There were only 6-7 in the shipment. Looking back on it, I should have grabbed one or two more :( Oh, well....

Great find. I love the colours.

That was a great find. I know last week our local Lowes up here had a new orchid shipment and to my surprise there was one maudiae-type Paph in it, of course a guy grabbed it just seconds before I could get my paws on it!! But at leas I know they do come from that Better-Gro place that Lowes gets their orchids from. Needless to say, I'll be visiting that Lowes a bit more often hoping to snag the next one that trickles in
