Would high light bleach micranthum leaves?
Hello,
I keep my three paph. micranthums on the east facing windowsill. They do get some direct sun there early morning. Lately I started to notice that their beautiful pattern on the adult leaves is not defined as well and sharp as it is on newly coming leaves. Looks sort of bleached. They look healthy otherwise and are growing new leaves. Could too much light affect the sharpness of the pattern as for example with some tropical plants like marantas? Thanks a lot. |
Absolutely that's possible

I don't know much about this orchid, but I know that Ludisia discolor leaves get paler and the patterning fades in high light.

Thank you, Ray and Rosie.
I am going to move them to the northern window. Hope it will not be too dark for them. I also have paph. barbigerum and paph. dianthum. Those have just plain green leaves. Could they stay on the east window with some sun? |
Sorry, don't know much about the other two.
