New Plants - What are they?

2 Attachment(s)
My husband and I went to dinner with my in-laws last night. After dinner, they went to their car and gave me these plants! They made small cuttings from their larger plants and potted them up for me. They're so awesome!

I have no idea what they are. I asked about culture and they just said lots of sunlight and water. Does anyone have any idea what these are and what their culture is?

Thanks for the help! :)

This is Euphorbia milii or Crown of thorns plant. I have huge specimen that looks like a tree.
They are right about lots of sun.The more sun they get - the brighter color of flowers will be.

Thanks for the ID! What are the other 2 green ones in the pot? They said I should repot those in a separate pot.

The other one looks like Echeveria -succulent from crassulaceae family. I am familiar with very common Echeveria elegans - Hen-and-chicks plant and it looks somewhat similar to yours. Although there are many species in this genus, yours might be different specie.
Try to look here -some of them have images:
Plants Belonging to the Genus 'Echeveria'
Hope it helped.

Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction! What do you have yours potted in? I read that it needs free draining mix and I don't have any cactus mix on hand. Do you think I can get away with potting them in small bark chips?

I am not sure about potting. Mine grows outdoors in the sandy soil, it is a frost tolerant type and survives our canadian winter here. I think they are hardy even to zone 4.
I am just afraid that bark might retain too much moisture.
You could get usual potting soil and add a bit of coarse sand or very small gravel and perlite to make it airy and fast draining.
Re-pot it into dry soil and don't water for a week or so after re-potting.

I also wanted to add that Euphorbia milii is in a list of poisonous plants. In case you have pets or small kids (or whoever might nibble on plant or break the stem or rip the leaf) - keep the plant out of their reach.
The sap from wound might irritate skin, ingestion might cause abdominal pain and blisters in the mouth and throat.

I read that while trying to figure out culture requirements. I was pretty shocked! Thank you for the warning!
