Phalenopsis (I believe) issue.......

A close friend of mine just sent me this picture along with this email. So this is pretty much all I know. Sorry for being vague.

"........She gave it to me as she doesn't get any sun in her apartment. I am keeping it in my kitchen (NOT in direct sunlight but a very sunny room). This has happened to a couple of the petals. Can you help? I'd love to keep it alive but I don't have much of a green thumb!"

I've never seen this but that means nothing since I don't have any Phals.

Is it just at the end of its blooming cycle? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

-Zod

Is it near a draft? Did it get cold when you transported it?

Hard to say without a photo of the entire orchid. It could be a fading flower. I also wonder iif in the move it was cold shocked. Keep an eye on the leaves for soft yellow or brown discolored spots which can be a sign of frostbite and dead tissue.

Hopefully it will rebound
