how can anyone get any work done?
 

How on earth can anyone get any work done with this board here!?!

not only that, but it's caused my orchid madness to ratchet up 3 notches!

this is so much fun it should be illegal

Much like anything you find addicting, you have to find a balance...

It turns out that work's very crude facebook block ("if the packet has the word "facebook" in it, drop") really screws up my orchid board viewing because of the Facebook Like app in the left hand column... Which somewhat mitigates the temptation (or, you know, increases patience).

I'm sort of kidding - I am self-employed so I set the rules :-)

I know what you mean! I work in a law office and am on here often between tasks. I also check the boards when I wake up, on my lunch break, and after work! I do freelance writing, too, and often have to write things out in a notebook instead of composing on the computer 'cause I'll end up here instead of typing my articles :rofl:

My husband thinks I'm nuts! :lol:

I am a writer too and my output has slowed considerably. luckily I am ahead of schedule right now!
I just keep hitting REFRESH and rearranging my orchids so I can fit more! AAAAAAAAAAGH!

I'm seriously considering splitting the difference and starting to write articles on orchids and their culture -- I'd be able to be on here without that little niggling feeling in the back of my head that I should be doing something else!

My collection and wish list have definitely grown thanks to OB. There is always one more 'must have' to read about or see on here. I took early retirement but I still sell a bit of photography freelance so I should be out there shooting and I have lots of things that could be getting done rather than sitting here at the puter :biggrin:

If I do that I'll be on here even more asking for everyone's input! :D
