Mounted Phal-how long for roots to take??

Hey all, I mounted my first phalaenopsis about a month ago, I was unhappy with the first attempt as I felt there was too much sphag and some of the fishing line seemed to be causing some root damage. So, I unmounted about a week ago and remounted. I am much happier with the mount this time but was wondering about how long I should expect before the roots take hold. I have mounted other orchids already and some took faster than others, just wondering specifically what to expect with a phal. Thanks a bunch!

It's kind of hard to give an estimate on time for root growth as growing habits differ and so does individual culture. I would think with good culture and light it shouldn't take long. Are you keeping the mount watered and fertilized?

I water my mounts every day unless it gets cold or rainy with a long soak (about 20-30 min.) weekly. I am fertilizing at 1/2 strength every other week...

It took around a month or two before the roots started to grab the wood. But it may take a bit longer for it hold it own weight.
