Paph Fairy Dell

Opened this past week but today has been the 1st day of reasonable light to get a nice picture. There is a 2nd spike that isn't in the picture. The bucket isn't perfect but I do like the color.

Nice one :) Forgive me, I'm no expert, but I'm assuming the twistyness comes from the fairrieanum (?) does the hint of green come from that side of the cross as well?

This is Paph Delophyllum 'Soft Touch' x fairrieanum 'Regal Ruffle'. Yes the twist probably comes from the fairreanum contribution. Paph Delophyllum is P. delenatii x glaucophyllum. Since I don't have Orchid Wiz, yet maybe someone who does can shed some light on this.

Ah.. it can't be from the delenatii, but it could be from the glaucophyllum influence, right? C'mon Orchid Wiz-ers I'd love to know :)

Tis indeed :) - I feel a bit like a thread hi-jacker by writing this here, but, don't know if you'll be hiring a car or will be using trains, but Colchester is only 45 mins approx from liverpool street station. It's the oldest recorded town in Britian, has a castle and is home to the Beth Chatto gardens (The Beth Chatto Gardens). If you want to add a visit here to your trip, send me a PM and we'll see if we can set it up (work allowing) :) *Hi-jack over!*

The pattern of the green coloring appears to be mostly from Paph glaucophyllum, but Paph fairrieanum can also contribute green.

This looks like a great combination of the 3 species involved. Thanks for posting.
