First Cattleya mossiae of spring
 

The shape's not perfect on this one, but the plant is compact (for the species) and the fragrance is outstanding.

J, the fragrance is pretty sweet and, with 4 blooms this year, rather strong, especially during the days when the plant is sitting in the sunlight. It's kind of strange because I have another C. mossiae that has much better-shaped blooms, but this one (that is, the one I posted here) has a stronger fragrance. So perhaps the great scent is a trade off for the less-than-perfectly shaped blooms.
