A warm grower currenly in bloom. My first cym. Lovely scent!
Cybidium ensifolium V. Tie Gu Su Xin. Thanks for lookin' :) |
Lovely! Is it fragrant?
|
Su Xin is the alba form of this species. There are several well-known su -xins found in Taiwan. Like typical ensifoliums, they are fragrant.
|
In Chinese ; tie = iron
gu = bone su xin = alba means stiff narrow leaf and flower in alba form. This species is difficult to flower, you are an excellent grower. |
Thanks for the information :)
It does have a wonderful scent, all thru out the day. Although I don't know how to discribe the scent :blushing: I was surprised to see the spike, since she was transplanted a few weeks before the spike(s) appeared  |

It is said that a dry period, about 6-8 weeks, before their flowering season would also facilitate their spikes. |
Wonderful colours! I wish I had the conditions to suit it, Judi
