misting vs hand spraying
Hi guys, I have a fairly small grow area and have been looking at the different misting system out there. Before I take the "plunge" would someone tell me why I could not just "sprizz" my plants with water each day when I visit them to check on how things are going in my grow area.
I know this is more labour intensive but I really don't mind taking care of my chids each day. regards m |
I check your list, and I don't see anything that would require misting :)

Misting is more of a humidity thing. It will wet everything down, but fine mist will create a jump in humidity for a good long while. If you don't mind hand spraying, then go for that.

I hand mist 250 'chids every day :yikes:

Sue, I would encourage you to enlist the Aid of the All Mighty Mist King. Just for those days when you just don't have the time. :D

I have plenty of time :) I enjoy taking the time to do the misting...it allows me keep a close eye on everything :D

I have a submersable pump with a nozzle that has a mist function .
When the plants were in the house I used a black & Decker battery sprayer a battery eater deluxe ,they quit making them . My humidity is fairly high in the green house they are not misted every day about once a week I spray them down :) The mounties are watered daily unless cool . Gin |
We use a fogger to control humidity not as a watering method. Like Susanne, we hand water (with tempered water) with a sprayer attached to a garden hose. The process takes time when you have upwards of 200 plants, but this way you can get a good look at a plant's general health.

Everybody needs misting system just in case you will travel for longer than one day.
