Echinacea photo
Thought I'd post a flower photo, not an orchid, that I think turned out fairly well. It was taken last summer at the Devonian Botanic Gardens near Edmonton (we have a son-in-law, daughter, and granddaughter up there). The camera was hand-held and the photo taken with my Tamron 90mm 2.8 macro. Since it was a dull day, I upped the ISO to 800 and shot the photo at 1/800 since there was a light breeze blowing. I used an aperture of 11 to get more depth of field and shot fairly close to the flower to get better background blur (bokeh).

Love it! I added you as a contact in Flickr. Not really sure what that means, I am new to Flickr.

Thanks for looking Amanda and I'll add you as a contact, too. All that means is that the new photos of your contacts show up when you click on "contacts."

Thanks for adding me! I always like looking at your photos, they are all so beautiful!

You totally rocked that one Ron! Yummy f11 bokeh!!! This are difficult flowers to shoot and you really captured this one well.

WOW - What super shot that was Ron :bowing :D

Thanks, Chas and Lagoon.

Not a problem Ron. BTW, I added you as a contact as well on Flickr. I'm surprised that I hadn't done that before.
