I've bought vegetables in coconut fiber pots. The ones that I've seen are too flexible for orchid media, and degrade to quickly. They are only suitable as a temporary pot. Say, vegetable seedlings that will soon be transplanted into a garden. A little more substantial than a peat pot. A nice alternative to plastic. They would work well as a liner for a net pot or something like that. They need support.

Are you thinking of peat pots I have never gotten veggies in a coco fiber pots.Yeah they are flexible but I dont see them deteriorating quickly. They really are cool I may try it on a few masdi's and see what happens.
Thanks for the response.
