Lepanthes calodictyon

Definitely in my "top 3" favorite orchids.

Very very cool looking orchid! I guess it's more interesting as a foliage plant, although it's pretty cool how those little blooms seem to be coming out of the center of the leaf.

I think it's one of the best for foliage. The blooms are a fringe benefit, for me!

Wow, how well grown is that plant! Thanks for sharing.

Gorgeous plant. I love the leaves, but that last picture really captures the flowers well.

Thank you, Bolero. It keeps growing for me, even when I'm inconsistent. That's the earmark of a great plant, in my estimation!

Nice Lths calodictyon, Duane. :)

Lths calodictyon is gorgeous as a foliage plant. Especially when it becomes specimen sized!

There are other Lepanthes that have similar foliage. One of them is Lths tentaculata. Another one is Lths sinuosa. One other one is Lths volador.

Camille, there are some beautifully large flowered Lepanthes.

One of them is Lths elegantula.

Then there are those with good sized flowers for a Lepanthes like:

Lths caprimulgus
Lths neisseniae
Lths quadricornis

There are even gigantic Lepanthes! Lths orion is one. Lths ingridiana is another. Then Lths gargantua.

It all depends on what you're looking for.

Philip,
You appear to be well along the slippery slope that is Lepanthes love... :)
Lep. elegantula is a really nice one - grows and blooms well, and it's really showy. I have two plants - one is pretty tall and the other is fairly compact - it will be interesting to see if they are still different sizes after growing in my conditions for a few years.
I love Lep. escobariana for it's big blooms and compact plant - I just haven't been able to grow it well yet. I'm willing to kill about one more before I give up on it.

Oh, yeah, the Lepanthes craze. :)

Lepanthes are great plants to have around. They may not always be showy, but they sure are unique.

I have always loved Lths calodictyon.

Lths quadricornis and company are by far my favorites.

I wanted to get Lths escobariana during the same time that I bought the Lths telipogoniflora, but I had to choose because of budget constraints. I've also grown Lths telipogoniflora before, so I knew what to expect.

Lths escobariana was beautiful in bloom. The one that was for sale had multiple blooms on it. Very showy.
