Aerangis citrata has yellow leaves and buds

Help! I have a Aerangis citrata in spike and bud and the leaves are turning yellow, and the buds are slowly yellowing also ....

Humidity levels are in the 70-80% range, and the plant is mounted on Cork.

Does anyone know what is causing this ....?

I'm new-ish to angracoids, so don't know if I can be of much help.
How are the roots?
I only just got this orchid a few weeks ago, but from what I read it it's a low light grower, maybe it's getting way too much light?

In any case, if you can post a pic, that would probably help a lot.

I absolutely agree with Camile - I would suspect roots. Buds turning yellow is probably bud blast and annoying, but nothing too concerning. Leaves turning yellow, on the other hand, is a bad sign. When did you get this plant, light levels, temperatures, and how often do you water? Pictures would definitely be helpful

Re: Aerangis citrata ....

I just got this plant this week on Wednesday ...... the yellowing leaves are the (2) oldest leaves. The plant is mounted and has a Southeast exposure - Temps are 60s-70s - Humidity is high (2 humidifiers in growing area).
growing on inside window-well .....

Hi Neo...sounds like stress - how many leaves does it have in total? It probably came from some sort of green house environment. Is there any air movement in the area? Don't worry too much about it; this could be normal adjustment. Try to avoid cool damp nights (or conditions in general) Warm, buoyant humid air seems to be what this one likes. I recall that Ross grows his successfully and he might have some things to add

Re: Aerangis citrata.....

Hey Calvin ---

It has a total of 6 leaves.....

I can give it air, and humidity, but not alot of Warmth right now .... I'm in the Northeast and it is COLD here...
so the room temps are 64-70 at best.

I do keep humidifiers running at night for added humidity
but that may be the problem .....HIGH humidity and LOW temps .....

Thanks for your recommendations ......

Patrick
