Cyc. cooperi 'SVOIII' FCC/AOS x Cyc. cooperi 'SVO' HCC/AOS
Cycnoches are unique among orchids in that they bear separate male and female flowers with the occasional appearance of intermediate, hermaphroditic forms. The column structure is the surest method of determining the sex of flowers. The male column is long, curved, and thin. It bears the pollinia prominently at the tip.
The flowers are waxy, deep dark brown. Very unique http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...Jan2011261.jpg http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...Jan2011258.jpg |
Those are really interesting, thanks for posting the great pictures.

What a difference from S. FL to N. FL. I have had mine in dormancy for about a month now. I have two tiny little nodes starting to come out from the main bulb. Won't water until roots are about 4 in length. Great job!!

WOW Beautiful rich colour, Ysa
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems it would be abit late for this to be in bloom this time of year being that you live in Florida? :D |
