i went to lowes yesterday...
 

and i clearly have a problem with "rescue" plants. their out of bloom orchids were 50% off and i talked the lady down to 70% off. which means i got each plant for 3$! i bought 6. all are good looking though they were a bit over watered.

5 phals:

3 sogo yukidian (i have 4 total now)

the dtps queen beer was mislabeled, that is not what it is.

I hate when that happens. I am pretty sure I have 3-4 that were mis labeled.

Wonder what did you tell that lady in Lowes. Once I saw in Home Depot whole pallet of Phals just thrown there with pots and a few other plants. All perfectly fine but without blooms. It looked like that palled is going straight to trash. I dont usually get NOIDs but I wanted to rescue some of those then give away to somebody who wants them but the sales person said that even though it is trash i am not allowed to take any home - because "they ship them back to vendor" and "they all are counted etc". I thought that was complete BS and still feel sorry for poor Phals :(

you have to find a saleslady with a soft spot and talk about how sorry you feel for them. ;) i dont know how i did it.

I don't think they send them back to the vendor probably count how many they throw out and get credit from them .
The lady in the plant Dept . at Lowes runs me down she hates to throw them out ..
I do the same, find people to (hook) on them lolol

You know: I have never seen any of these rescue orchids and I already feel sorry for them. I am glad someone is taking them home. AL

yea i think im gonna have trouble going into the plant section in that store from now on. :rofl:
