Dinema polybulbon flower problem

1 Attachment(s)
Hello,

I have this orchid in my terrarium, and everytime the beginning of a flower is coming, it starts to turn brown, en rot away. I have seen this plant in flower only once.

The flowers start to become brown. The temperature in the paludarium is 28 C, the humidy is also hight. From time to time water is blowing through the terrarium.

What can be the cause of this blooming problem? i have added a picture with this flower.

regards,

Dave

Hello and welcome to the OB!
How is your air circulation?

This species prefer to dry out slightly in between waterings, especially during winter. Also, it's more of a cool to immediate grower. I think 28C with constant water blowing and high humidity is not the best condition to grow this species. Just my :twocents:

I think it is probably just too wet, too long, too often with not enough air circulation. It would probably do better at a somewhat lower temperature, but 28C is probably acceptable as a daytime high temperature if the night temperature drops by a few degrees.
