Krystle, loujost over on Peter's site uses aspirin for mold. Here is what he said:
"It seemed to be more effective than Physan in stopping my severe mold/fungus problems with my Phals. I now dissolve 1 500mg tablet in 500 ml of water, and keep that handy next to my watering container. When I fill my 1/3 gal watering container, I usually dump about 20-50 ml of the aspirin solution in it. Just in case the aspirin may interfere with fertilizer uptake, I sometimes fertilize without adding aspirin. This concenrtation may not be the optimum. I can't say I have done careful scientific experiments, but it seems to have helped." the link is here: Big Leaf Orchid forum • View topic - Fatal attack against Phalaenopsis: mold? insects? |
