repotting Phals and a Catt.
O.K. I got my orchiata and new clear pots for the phals. Repotted all and have to say, I really love that stuff. Easy to work with and smells heavenly.
the Catt just finished blooming and needs to be done too. This is my first Catt and she said when it was done blooming to repot in the next size pot. Well, it has tons of roots on the outside. (inside too). Do the ones on the outside need to be covered or are they air roots? It is a tight squeeze as it is. Hate to be so dumb, but? And is the orchiata med. good for the Catt also? Becky |
I would go to an even larger pot and make sure all the roots are buried. Yes, Orchiata is great for catts.

Thank you Ray, Will do that. And the pot I have is I believe a 7" clay pot with the slits on the side and whole in bottom of course. Maybe I should see if I can put it a little deeper? I am used to the phals so am afraid to plant too deep. Afraid of crown rot. Am I safe in thinking that all green should be above the bark?

the rhizome should be at the medium level. you can always place an inverted smaller pot in the bottom, if your worried of the pot being too large
