Paph w/ curled leaves, should I be concerned?
My paph that I bought last year has had some great new growth, but I am concerned about the curled leaves. Should I be? What could it be a sign of?
In relation to culture, I have it in an appropriate paph mix and when the humidity tray is empty I water from the top. I do not water unless it is empty. In relation to light, it is sitting in a east window sill which gets morning light. Next to it is a Ludiscia (Jewel Orchid) which is growing great and about to bloom for the second time - so that's hopefully a point that some of you might be able to recognize and use to tell me if it's getting enough light or not. This particular paph is a Wizardy x Nedra Coyner. http://www.orchidboard.com/community...ves2-small.jpg http://www.orchidboard.com/community...ves1-small.jpg Thanks in advance for your thoughts and comments! |
Looks like it may have gotten a little too dry when those 2 new leaves were developing, hence the crease. In the grand scheme of things I don't think it's a problem. Just remember not to let them go completely dry. They prefer to be evenly moist at all times but not sopping wet. :)

Thank you for the information. This is my first paph - so it's a learning curve, lol...
