Best way to water Beallara (Oncidium Alliance) question
 

I am brand new to orchids and have a blooming Beallara Pacific Treasures 'Everything Nice' that I got on Sunday. It is growing in a mix of bark, perlite, and charcoal. My question is this: What is the best way to water it? Do I top water or dunk the pot? If I dunk it, how long do I let it stay submerged for?

If you water on the top, water till the potting media is wet, water runs completely through the pot--drain it before putting it back on your plant shelf. If you water by dunking, keep it in the water about 10 minutes or so, again make sure the pot has drained.
It has been my experience that onc alliance plants do not like to be completely dry, I keep the media just moist, but this will also depend on your humidity levels.
