Nice flowers! What's the size (plant/flowers)?

pheli 05-28-2007 06:53 PM

The flower is about 3 cm wide and the plant is now 30cm tall.

Hi pheli :D

That's lovely! I have one that looks great, plenty of gorgeous strong roots and beautiful leaves...and no spikes! :(

How are you growing yours? Help me, please

Cp977, as your description, your falcata grows well in your condition.
If yours is a seedling and never bloomed in the past, it may not still reach mature size.
As a matter of fact, it should bloom every year if it is a mature plant.
Naturally, the spikes occur in early spring when the temperatures rise in spring and therefore i think this is the reason that initiate the spikes.
Hence, treat it as other vandas and provide it a dry period in winter would do good for it.

About two weeks, Sue.
Mine bloomed in May this year. While I found it in bloom, some flowers had dropped.
