This is a species I have been looking for since long ago... I have gotten it by chance.. the plant was identified as Cyc. barthiorum 'Pink Dove'...

Well done. Buying Cycnoches in Europe is full of surprises. One almost always gets something else than the label says.

I LOVE it!

Cycnoches lehmannii - BEAUTIFUL :bowing ...

How large is one flower and for how long does it stay in bloom ? Where does this species grow in nature ?

Thank you ...

Mnfred, the flowers are more or less same size as ventricosum (around 8 - 9 cm from the tip pf the labellum to the tip of the lower petal) Normally, cycnoches' flowers last for around 2 weeks... however I see that now in the greenhouse and with temps varying between 18 and 30°C the flowers are lasting a bit longer (I need towait to see for how long now).

Cyc. lehmannii comes from Peru/Ecuador.

That's so cool Ramon, congrats! I can't remember the last time you got a Catasetinae that was labeled correctly! lol

Me neither: and that is from brazilian, US and European nurseries coming to shows in Europe.

It's really nice, even if not the same as the tag said.

Looks like green butterflies.
