One of my cousin's just posted a warning -she lives in Kings Park & one of her neighbors' kid was already approached by this man at their house:
Beware of a man in a uniform -navy blue pants, light blue shirt, baseball hat and a clip-board. He and 2 females are breaking into houses in the Smithtown, Kings Park and Commack area. If you see them call 911 and report their whereabouts. Do not answer the door!!!!!

they have seemingly official uniformed COPS doing the same here pretending to be LOOKING for a Suspect.When in reality you are talking to the SUSPECT. They kick in a few doors already and tied the familys up and robbed em. Didnt hurt anyone thank goodness but they obviously didnt resist the official looking COPS either...Such pieces of trash for humans. You really wonder sometimes how people can just give up and do things like this. And how are you suppose to know they arent REAL COPS number #1? Everyone is a suspect these days and I hate being forced to live like that in our MODERN society. you have to always be aware and protect yourself no matter who be a knocking

I live on Long Island and we don't even lock the door on some nights:blushing::yawn:. Parts of the island got destroyed during the storm and I bet there are all sorts of scams popping up.
