Are my Orchids getting enough light???

Hello everyone.

I'm wondering If the lighting my orchids are under at the moment is bright enough for their growing needs???

I have 3 florescent grow lights. I purchased them from a Canadian tire. On the box it states that these bulbs are 20W bulbs that replace a 75W. they are very bright. It also states that these bulbs are low heat.

I attached a picture below. The plants on the left have been under this light for the past 4 days and the one on the right I just put under today. I have them set on a timer so the lights go on at 5:30am and turn off at 7:30pm.

If you need more information on this particular bulb goto this web address ( I have threes of these bulbs):

Thank you in advance

I would maximize the light by having it as a reflective down light .
I have not used lights before so cannot comment on wattage etc .

I love the display corner you have them set-up in. they could possibly use a little more light as the leaves are a dark green and from what I know the color should be a little lighter green

Thank-you!

How long dose it take for a Phals leaves to start lightening up???

I'm wondering If tin foil placed in key areas will offer more light???

Flat white paint reflects more light than tin foil. Mylar is the best.
