i think i may have a spike on my neo. falcata 'setsuzan'. it a banded neo. i hope someone can tell me wether or not i should be excited
Difficult to tell, but I think you could be right.
It is either a spike or a keiki. I am not sure at this point.
either way its a good thing!! :D
it looks like the other pikes did, and i has that mitten. but we shall see :D i cant wait for whatever it is! ifits a keiki, what would i do then? can i leave it there? so it will be like another fan? |
Yep. Either way it is a good thing. If it does happen to be a keiki then you can either separate it later on or just let it keep on growing into a larger specimen. I personally like multi fan plants.
so a keiki is the same as a fan? i thought fans came from the bottom. i also like larger plants better than single fanned plants and such
With Neofinetia, they do usually come from the base of the plant but are not limited to that area.
ohh, good to know!
A little hard to tell, but great growing either way.
Cheers. Jim |
thank you! i got it in july, just after it had finished blooming. and there definitely wasnt this growth. so i think its safe to take full credit :)
