Zygopetalum Adelaide Charmer x Kings Park

I found this abandoned on a South London street- yes just left outside a house on a pavement 2 streets from me. I think they had left it out to be collected with the refuse but the refuse collectors often won't collect anything in a black bag, so this monster escaped to find me! It was complete with a handwritten name tag covered with a chocolate bar wrapper and a crisp packet, so at some point clearly has been loved and looked after, but not for a long time! (See attached pics) There were some live roots in all that mess, but not many- only one of the divisions is totally rootless though.
So, I've now gone from never owning a Zygo, to now having 4 decent sized divisions, and 20 backbulbs. It is sun damaged, but if anyone would like a backbulb or one of the divisions and you live in London (or are willing to travel to a central station for a pickup!), please let me know and you can claim one!

Cool, good luck nursing it back to health. What a great find!

Your Adelaide Charmer and Kings Park are not Zygopetalum but rather Zygoneria . Zygoneria is a complex hybrid involving the genera Zygopetalum and Neogardneria. OrchidWiz has a foto of Adelaide Charmer. It is a pretty, mostly green flower. No foto was available for the other parent.

GOOD LUCK!

Thanks Stitzelweller! I was just going on what the tag said- I've done a bit more detective work, and found a place which sells this hybrid (if it is what it said on the tag...)
McBean's Orchids | Zygopetalum Orchids if you scroll down- it looks like a beauty!
BTW the offer is still there, if anyone would like a bit of it!

Kay, Thank you for the additonal info! McBean's has a reputation as a QUALITY supplier. I wish that I could easily take advantage of your offer. Unfortunately, there are too many international legal obstacles

It isn't possible with the plant.
