Miniature Brassavola nodosa

This clone is less than half the size of the ordinary B. nodosa, but as far as I can tell, far less fragrant.

Orchids in Bloom: Brassavola nodosa 'Mickey Mouse'

Interesting you should notice that as well - my "Mickey Mouse" also lacks that really potent scent at night. It's there, it just doesn't fill the room like my much bigger "standard" nodosa used to.

When it bloomed for the first time, I expected the heavy scent and was disappointed when it wasn't there.

interesting plant... but.. are you sure this is a true nodosa? there is something on those flower screaming "I'm not nodosa" :( the petals are not right, and the shape of the labellum is also weird.. somehow, it reminds me of B. subulifolia (which has been considered by many as a variety of nodosa).. and also the missing strong fragrance is not right... could it be a hybrid between both species? maybe from someone who considered subulifolia as nodosa and therefore the name?
the position of the petals also reminds me of B. cebolleta...

You may be right, Ramon. I wondered myself, but it is being sold under the name nodosa and there's another clone around that's similar being sold as nodosa also.
