Please help me figure this out!!

Ok, first let me say sorry if I am a little vague or have the idea all wrong but a while back I was looking at miniature orchids for a vivarium and I saw one called the Angry Bunny orchid or something along those lines, and the flowers looked like mad rabbit heads. I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction as far as the correct name scientific or common, because for the life of me I can't find it again?!
Thanks
Evan

This is a shot in the dark, but how about P. lobbii (Phalaenopsis) which has been referred to here (affectionately) as Jessica Rabbit. Also try P. parishii.

That's a new one to me. I'd like to know what it is if you figure it out.

how about a Leptoceras Menziesii syn. Caladenia Menziesii, is commonly known as the Rabbit or Hare Orchid.
good luck finding one in captivity in the USA :) They come in bunches and bloom after a bushfire in the Australian outback and they really do look like little mad wabbits

That's one of the species that first came to mind for me too. If it is the plant in question, it's probably an inappropriate choice for a vivarium setup.

Oh wow! I just looked it up and the Rabbit orchid is native to Western Australia where I live. I never heard of it before. Maybe I'll see one growing in the wild one day.

Marion, do you have a link where you 'looked it up'. It would be good to see what it looks like.

Sorry RJ, I missed your post when reading down and didn't realise you had found the same one as Marion.

It really does look like a rabbit doesn't it :coverlaugh:
