Den. wassellii

I posted a picture of this plant a couple of months ago when it only had one spike. It has four now with more coming and a wonderful scent to the flowers. It is growing on a 5 x 9 piece of cedar and seems to be extremely easy to grow. The leaves are similar to B. nodosa but about half the size.

Absolutely stunning! Thanks !

The dainty flowers are very pretty and the plant looks great too! I'll have to keep this species in mind. How long do the blooms last?
Thank you for sharing.:) |
How often do you fertilize? does it grow slowly? looks nice, very nice.
|
It has tripled in size during the year or so that I have had it. Since the growths are small, it doesn't get large very quickly. It requires no winter rest and I give it a light application of ferterlizer with everything else, cats. etc.

I was given a division with 3 leaves on a stick. it seems ok. Not growing not shrinking. A Dendrobium anosmum that i was given by the same person mounted the same way at the same time has been growing all these new canes.
The wasselii is outside my window . lots of sun. Wonder if i need to mist it more or if it has a short growing season like some cactaceae |
Junebug, the flowers last for three or four weeks even in our summer heat.

do you mind sharing your cultural conditions? the blooms are amazing
