just got this new hybrid of catasetum...the seller dunno what hybrid is it..any guesses ? thanks

Catasetum saccatum, or perhaps a primary hybrid with it. Do you know where it came from?
The lip on saccatum usually has a lobe in the center. It could be a hybrid with osculatum (which was once considered synonomous), which has a more round lip. |

Brilliant suggestion, now that you mention it, it seems like it had a strong line of ctsm. osculatum in it. found a picture under the search for ctsm. osculatum and the flower had a high percentage of similarity with this one. thanks
i do not know where this flower origin from, got it from a local nursery during a flower exhibition. ask the vendor about the name of this ctsm but no luck. thanks again :bowing |
