How much shadecloth would I need
If I were to buy this?
I want one piece of shade cloth to wrap around both sides, top to bottom? Welcome to Poly-Tex, Inc.--commercial greenhouse, retail greenhouses, retail display fixtures, greenhouse accessories, poly film, shade structures and the Garden Mart. I'm math retarded. :) |
BTW, I'm planning on the 10x6

Maria, I like this design! I might be able to use something like that! Not sure about how much shade cloth, though.

It's pretty cool, no?

Their specifications and measurements aren't detailed enough to find out how much shadecloth one would need. However I would estimate roughly (if the diagram is to-scale) 7' x 25' if you just wanted to cover 2 sides and the canopy. If you wanted to cover the backside, just add another 9' 6" x 11' piece.
Keep in mind I added 1 foot to all measurements, as I'm not sure the method you wanted to use to connect the shadecloth to the frame. |
peewee, you want to put shade cloth on the front and back? The top prolly already provides shade so you are only going to need more cloth for the area behind the shelves, right?
I would email the company and see if they can do that for you. The reason being is if you wanted to shade the front and back, it's an odd shape with the rounded to peak, top. |
The product you linked is not shadecloth but a total sunblock of vinyl.
It will not give your plants any light. This product is not for growing plants under it. |
