wow, great! i have been toying with the idea to make my own baskets, but haven't start yet... incidentally, i have learnt to make my own orchid basket when i was about 14 in school's woodworking class!

They look great. I especially like the 2nd one. Very creataive.

You definitely have an artful eye... I especially like the first 3. Thanks for sharing such an artistic approach to showing off your chids. I'd like to know what kind of wood the 1st 3 are made of? They look like the waste from milling lumber... not really waste but the outer bark that is stripped off and discarded as unusable. You have found a wonderful use for it!

these are doing of my boyfriend, I asked for some baskets, and I wanted one which would be smaller at the bottom, so he came up with these...

the roud ones are from hazel and the rest are made from what he found in the garage... but I asume it was originaly something like you suggested...

Very creative and unique. I have a couple which look like the one in the third photo. I got them from a small farmer in a rural community.
