Howdy from North Carolina

Hi,

I couldn't think of how to spell the equivalent of my subject heading in redneck lingo  I'm mostly into species orchids rather then hybrids. Nothing wrong with hybrids just my preference. I look forward to learning all about what makes a orchid tick inside and out. I've been keeping orchids for about 4 months and AV's for 3 years.

Welcome from another Tarheel. There are alot of NC folks here on the OB. It would be helpful to now where in NC you are located. Those in the mountains and piedmont have different growing conditions than I do here on the hot, humid, windy coast near Wilmington.

"HOW-Deee frum Norf Carlahna!" Take it from a Charlotte boy. I, too, prefer species plants.

Welcome to the Board!

About 30 miles north of Winston Salem. While true the coastal region is abit stickier then up here. Lately though I think you have it better down there. I mean atleast you have a on shore wind with your 90+ degrees while up here it's 90+ with no air stirring. How I love my AC this time of year..

That COULD put you in King County, which is where my sister lives. Her mailing address is in Germanton. Beautiful part of the state! I personally miss Charlotte, and the Carolinas. Georgia is nice, and I love the people down here, But North Carolina is truly God's Country.
