Looking for Potting Mix in Souther California

Hello all
I'm trying to find phalaenopsis potting mix from a southern California supplier.

I've search the web but since I have no idea what a excellent mix should have so I was hoping someone could please direct me to some supplier they have experience good results with.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

websites would be perfect!

I have purchased many things from CalWest Tropical including medium. Here's a link http://calwesttropical.com/ They're located in Riverside CA and are super fast shippers.

Thank you That is very close to where I live right now, I will check them out. Do you have any particulars you recommend?

I like coconut husk chunks mixed with perlite and charcoal, but that doesn't work for everyone. It just depends on your growing conditions and watering habit. I work full time so am only able to water once a week. I need something that will hold moisture a little bit longer than bark does. I mix my own so can't comment on their premixed stuff.

Do you know anything about the Orchiata that they have?

Sorry I don't. Maybe someone who has used it will chime in. It does look interesting.

I'm most interested about the micro organism it promotes.
I especially love the picture of the orchid with all the lovely roots

I too have bought coconut husk chips, perlite, and other media from CalWest. I haven't tried the orchiata - there was a discussion about it on the board once

from the discussion - it sounds promising, if it isn't too pricey :)
