Your flower is beautiful and I don't mean to steal your thread but when you say, "tricky", what exactly do you mean? The reason I ask is because I have, I think, the same plant and have had it hanging in the highest part of my greenhouse where it gets the most light and heat and I mist/water it daily... sometimes 2 or 3 times a day and it gets fed frequently. I have a reasonably large plant with new pseudo bulbs growing and roots abound but nary a flower! So what's with this... what am I doing wrong.... Do I have to send it to Susie Q so she can threaten it by hanging over her pool?????

Eric, those are beautiful blooms. Is this a C. walkeriana hybrid? It looks a little like it--and Doc's picture definitely looks like a walkeriana hybrid.

Doc, does your plant experience seasonal differences? If it's like walkeriana, your plant might benefit from a cool, dry winter rest. My walkerianas all seem to appreciate that sort of treatment, and they bloom every spring. Maybe Eric will have some helpful tips for everyone.

I grow indoors in a basement and its cool in the winter and i only water once a week some time two times in the late winter and give it a ton of light "1000 watt HPS" . But I know what doc means it grows and grows and no flower but when its ready it'll go. That hybrid is known for being fussy. Heres the cross Lc. Love Knot (L.sincorana x C. walkeriana)
