Tell me I'm not insane.....I just ordered......
This gorgeousness from SBOE!!!! :)
Laelia autumnalis var. alba 'Gene May', CHM/AOS at Santa Barbara Orchid Estate (biting my fingernails with fear!!) I wanted to buy something other than Laelia anceps but I love the Mexican Laelias. :) Tell me, is it hard to grow? |
|
What a ridiculous price though, I wish you all the best :)
|
I can't help you with the care, but just wanted to say it's lovely!
|
Your not insane. :)
|
Youre insane, autumnalis? You should have got another anceps, at least they last longer than a week.

oooooo!!!
your aren't insane
just O.C.D like the rest of us  |
What a beauty! And yes, your insane like the rest of us! And I'd pay that price too....but only if I had previous experience and new I could grow it. I've been wanting some of the beautiful L. anceps they sell...but I want to make sure I can bloom and keep alive my L. anceps project plant first!
|
Insane? Nah :frogfly:
The plant is super gorgeous and if it makes you happy, that's all that matters ;) According to Orchidwiz, this one likes it very bright (3000-4000 fc) but should be protected from burning. It also gets a winter rest  For 5-6 months (from late autumn to early spring) there is only the occasional very light misting or watering. As always, when "resting" a chid, if the p-bulbs start shriveling then it should get more water ;) :youcandothis: |
