Great Blue Heron and Double Crested Cormorant
 

:waving I was able to observe 3 beautiful birds in the lake behind my house today.

The first is a Double Crested Cormorant. He likes to sit on that (rediculous) fake swan. He sits there to spread his wings and dry out after going swimming.

Second is a beautiful Great Blue Heron that just walked into the picture while I was watching the Cormorant. That was very lucky! I got a shot of him as he flew away.

Last is a Tri-colored Heron. It is on the otherside of the lake and my zoom isn't that great. I could see him well with the binoculars.

Thanks! I love to watch for them. The heron was feasting on dragonflies. They are everywhere today! (That means the mosquitoes are here)
