noid Laelia
1 Attachment(s)
Unidentified Laelia, purchased as L. lucasiana some years ago. Bloomed out for the first time this week, and I'd really like some opinions on the identity of this plant. I'm thinking it's in the Hadrolaelia group (I know they're all Cattleya's now), but I'm not sure if it's a species or a hybrid. I can see some Laelia pumila, and some L. dayana... anybody got an idea on this one?

I dunno what it is, but its got great coloration.
|
Perhaps closer to sincorana than pumila or dayana.
|
It reminds me of sincorana also.

no idea but great lip! good growing!

thanks for the compliments dounoharm and isurus!
I looked at photos of Laelia sincorana, but it did not seem to fit because of the droop of the petals and the significant overlapping of the side lobes of the lip. But, it has been growing happily alongside rupicolous laelias, which fits L. sincorana's habit! |
