which one is correct?

I am new to rooting hormone or plant booster and i don't really have any idea about mixing it with fertilizer.

I have a supertrive which I want to use for my orchids that has very poor root system. Please help me to make things clearer for me.

I have 1 Gallon of water with quarter strength of fertilizer and also another gallon with superthrive( quarter teaspoon dilution)

Can I mix the two solution into one container and apply directly to plants? or should i use them separately?

Is it wrong to just add quarter teaspoon of supertrhrive to diluted Fertilizer(1 gallon)?

I will appreciate your help. thank you.

re-read the directions on the superthrive.....

A few drops per gallon I think maybe ...i used some on a rose cutting that was calloused and ready to root in to high a dose this spring and killied it over night....

3 or 4 drops Is all I ever use per gal at most but yes you can mix them ..or at least I did

Hi JOhnblagg, The direction says 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of water and I measured the dilution very well.

Can I mix the two solutions(1 Gallon with fertilizer and 1 Gallon with supertrheive)?

Or can I mix 1/4 teaspoon of superthrive into water with diluted fertilizer?

Thank you for the information.

you can mix teh two but then your fertilizer will be half as strong as you had planned .....

I would mix my fertizizer solution and then add the superthrive to it instead of to a seperate gallon of water....it will not do any harm as far as I know in fact that is how I mix them when I am using superthrive.....but I use only three or four drops of superthrive.I Just read my bottle and you are right about what the directions say. I dont remember where I got the one drop per gal at LOL

Here's what I've heard:
If you are using it at every watering then only 1-2 drops per gallon. If you are using it once a month, then you would use the 1/4 teaspoon per gallon. And I have read on another thread not to use it when you are expecting blooms, it will disfigure the flowers.

John - it does say somewhere one drop per gallon every watering - might be the cardboard the bottle comes with
