Phalenopsis Seed Pod Formation
 

Hi. I successfully pollinated my first bloom stalk - watched a video on youtube someone here provided a link for.

So far, petals faded ( I trimmed them off) and ovaries have started to swell and changed different colors until remaining green.

How long does it take for a phalenopsis seed pod to develop?

Also, when is the right time to remove pods and get to seeds for flasking?

Thanks - if I knew botany was actually interesting, I would have taken it in school.

Anywhere between 6 months to 1 1/2 yrs.
