That must be one of your 'big catts'. That flower looks huge ! Great parents too - Bob Betts x Bow Bells - a great oldie.

yes, old favorites are still the best....the flower is about 7inces, but i couldnt get close enuf for a frontal view photo for all the buds in the way, lol...since i am leaving sat, i will miss the big show of all 8 buds opened!

Everyone likes this white and I got one. Looking up its registration in the RHS it was interesting to discover that Bob Betts x Bow Bells was first registered as José Martí in 1959 and then again as Mother's Favourite in 1990. Everyone seems to list Mother's Favourite as a clonal name, not realizing that these are duplicate names for the same cross. So, I have no idea whether all of our different plants are clones from one plant or from a variety of different crosses of Bob Betts x Bow Bells. I guess who cares if the flowers are nice?

Looks like a beautiful greenhouse as well. I love that Jose Marti. I see them once in a while but never one in great shape, or maybe I'm just too picky since I'm usually looking for vandas. I think I will finally get one though, it's one of those classics.
