Is this what happens to us orchid addicts when we die? Our collections get auctioned off to people? Seems kinda sad! :shock:

Amazing list! More than thousand orchids should go! I hope, nobody has died.

Ah.........I think they might have died but I'm not 100% sure on that one. Either that or they're too frail to look after them.

Over the 14 years I've been in business, I have acquired several collections from individuals. The reasons for the sell-offs vary:

1. Moving to Arizona; grows mostly phrags.
2. Divorced and both moving to small apartments.
3. Retired and relocating the residence to an RV.
4. Retired and relocating the residence to a yacht. (Jealousy, anyone?)
5. Collection too much for old person to care for.
6. Yep, death.

I guess I won't move, if I have to sell my beloved plants. And I don't exchange them for the residence on yacht either.
