What does it smell like?

I overheard Ivan Portilla talking about how it's fragrant to one of his customers a while back.

I've never even heard of this plant before. Absolutely awesome!! Where did you get it?

Apparently Mendoncella was a later generic name, hence dropped in favor of the former. When you search for this one, look for Galeottia negrensis.

I likes fairly deep shade, but apparently like it very hot and humid too.

Yep...it's a Galeottia nigrescens. And a nice one, at that. :biggrin:

This one is definitely on my wish list. I drool over zygo-alliance plants. :)
