HP Norton - Best Phal Breeder on the Planet?

I've been doing a lot of reading over the past month. I've come to the conclusion that the best Phalaenopsis breeders can be counted on one hand.

In no particular order:

HP Norton
Joseph Wu
----------
Peter Lin
All Others

Who am I missing, and is HP Norton the best Phalaenopsis breeder on the planet?

I'm a fan of them all. I'd add...

Mark Rose- Breckenridge Orchids
And whomever was at Lenette.

I'm sure there are more than I can't think of at 2:30am :-)

I just had the chance to talk with HP for several hours at our OS show. It rang of sitting in the presence of a Master and great piece of orchid history. He is a great historian and relayed stories of crosses that were captivating. 2 of his latest stunners (grown, I learned, by Terry at Pine Ridge) that got added to the collection were:

Phal Venetian Peach 'Peach Delight'
Phal Tai - I Yellow Bird 'EZ' AM/AOS x (Chinggruey's Beauty' x Dou-dil Rose')

A woman in our OS bought one of the Tai - I at Thursday's set up and was encouraged to put it in the show (always room for 1 more wherever you are!). They registered it, and she won an AM/AOS !!!! She said she was going to name it "HP's Showtime Surprise". I'll try to get some pix up later today.

Katherine told me about that. She joked that it always makes them look good when someone wins an award with one of their plants. Post the pics. I'd love to see them.

Oh, there are sooo many that don't have a storefront that would also belong on this list. Most of these are probably unknown to most of us.

I really like the work of Robert Bearded and Michael Ooi.

Don't forget Tom Harper at Stones River Orchids in Franklin TN. One of the most involved Phal people.

The Taiwanese breeders probably shade it IMO.. Mr Hong at Tying Shin is my current fav.
