Brassia non bloomers
 

I have two Brassia, Rex 'Tahoma and Brassidium Dragon Fly. Both are very healthy and happy plants and bulbs from last years growth are as large or larger than previous years growth. The problem is that they have not bloomed, and I think they should have by now. In fact they have started new growths instead. I grow in a south facing greenhouse with shade cloth and have these next to my cats. Have good humidity, water and fertilizing schedule (1/2 strength every two weeks in winter and stronger during summer. Growing in NW NJ. Any suggestions?

In general brassia need a little rest period (3/4 weeks) when bulbs are matures for induce the bloom.
I think light level is ok for you if the plants are next to catts. The leaf color is light green ?

I have attached some pictures. They seem light green to me. What do you mean by "rest period?" No water? No fertilizer? A nice down pillow and a glass of Bordeaux?

Difficult to say it. Digital pictures chnage levels of color. But for me they look great.
During a rest period you reduce water and stop fertilizer.
A simple way to manage is to lokk at bulbs and when they began to shrivel you water.
