:hello
I find myself in a similar situation, except I have NO creatures living with my chids. I grow most of my catts in a klima grow. I need to raise the humidity. I heard somewhere :scratchhead: that mist king was the best. Beverly |
I have a Mist King system. It's very quiet if you make sure all the hoses are tied down. I tend to be lazy and not check the tank level so it runs dry quite often with no problems. I would definitely buy one again.

really!! thats great, i did hear that was a good one, does it have a good pressure on the spray on it too?? i want the mist to be quite fine when it comes out of the nozzles as my tree monitor hates to get the bigger spray droppleats in her face and gets a bit cross but fine mist is ok with her and she wont react , is ist quite asy to set up??

I agree with Harry. I do love my Mist King but you really have to make sure the hoses are secured.
I guess it is the pressure generated by the fine misting heads that makes the hoses shiver and if they are not properly attached, they will pop off the head. The misting heads are perfect though and the timer works great. I use a square plastic planter with a hole drilled as my reservoir and it seems to work just fine. I just have to tweak those hoses and the setup will be great. |
oh really?? i like the sound of the mist king..i have now got a second hand mister from my friend..iyts pretty goo but dont know the brand name..its from germany and is quiet and has a good presure it seems...i will upgrade it eventualy to a mist king....so whe you say the hoses pop of how do you fix them on then????surely they arnt meant to do this...as they are designed to withstand the pressure..anyone else find this happning ??? :waving

What I mean is that the hoses have those screw clips/mounts that you tack down to wood (for me anyway) along the roof or wall of your greenhouse. You need to make sure these are securely fastened in several places because the hoses "shake or shiver" for lack of a better word. If they are not secured, the motion of the hoses will work the hose off of the mist head.
Does that make sense? You just have to use more of the clips to keep the hoses secured from movement. |
oooh right i seeee, cool, thanks for that info..will watch out for that when i buy one and make sure its pinned down correctly..would hate for water too leak everywhere in my home!!.. its actualy for my pet reptiles vivarium..but it has orchids growing in there too on the branches...so they both need high humidity and water...
