Hi from new member

:hello to all, I am a new member from New York.
My interest is mainly in Bolivian orchids, as there are many species in Bolivia yet to be discovered, and the government is opening it up to exploration. This month I am meeting the UN Ambassador to discuss this very issue, so will keep you posted. Expect to hear more about treks to los Yungas, publications on Bolivian orchids and festivals.
Just now I do not cultivate any myself, but draw and paint them. If possible I'll post images up of my work.

Welcome to the Orchid Board! Glad to hear you will soon be exploring Bolivian orchids. Are there any unexplored regions? I imagine many in the Andes. Also, do you know the current number of known orchid species in Bolivia? Is Bolivia opening the country to scientific investigation by scientists from other countries? Thanks.
