Phal. equestris 'Orange'
I swapped a Bulbo for this small equestris Keiki. I can't believe it's blooming already! The color is kind of hard to capture. The orange is a faint shading on the lip and the center, the rest is a very pastel pink.

I was just browsing thru your gallery. You have some very nice phals!! Good growing.

I can see a faint tinge of the orange in the 2nd shot. It must look real nice in person!

indeed a very nice flower.. I also have this clone of Phal equestris and like it a lot..
however, and I would like to read the opinion of others who also have this clone as well as other equestris, I somehow do not feel confortable with the label on this plant... IMO there is something "wrong" and I have the feeling this is not a pure Phal equestris... among the main discrepanices: flowers too perfect for equestris, plant not as floriferous as any other Phal equestris I have seen, general look of plant somehow different too... what do you think? |
