A year of blooms
I think I have a goal in mind for my current collection since I am and probably will be space limited for a few years. I would like to get orchids that bloom at different times in a way so that I should (hypothetically anyways) have something in bloom all year long. Anyways if you have any in mind with the season they bloom post away!

Ones that bloom more then once a year or have really long lasting blooms are also great list those too!

I would have to recommend Neostylis Lou Sneary 'Kultana'. While it was young with one fan it would only bloom in Fall and Spring. Now that it has matured with multiple fans it is in almost constant bloom. And it smells great too.

Very cool. I must say any orchid that is in bloom most of the time sounds great to me. Just something about them that's so peaceful.

Many cool growing cyms can hold their blooms for quite some time, 2-3 months. (downside- very large plants, need a lot of light to bloom, as well as a period in late summer-fall of cool nights to initiate spikes.)
Dens from the latouria group can also hold blooms for 3 months, and don't need as much light to bloom as cyms. They also can bloom from old canes as well as new, and can get a lot of spikes on one plant. So as early spikes start to bloom, there are new spikes starting. Plants can be in bloom for quite some time. Haraella retrocalla - a very small plant, can bloom almost continually. Ascda Su Fun Beauty can bloom 2-4 times a year (needs strong light, but small enough to grow on a windowsill) |
Thanks! Nice suggestions. I like them.
